Amsterdam Loves Belgium

I was in Amsterdam last week and was pretty happy when I encountered various things that made me remember Belgium. Wandering around this lovely city I came across two Belgian fries tents and a square named after a character from the comic book ‘Tintin’.

The snackbar with Belgian fries was very funny. It had for example 3 portion sizes: a smurf being the smallest one, Obelix being the biggest one (although Obelix is French :-) ) And it had weird sauces like peanut souce for on the fries.

When walking down an extremely lovely alley, for being in a capital, I suddenly realised the nameplate on a square said “Bianca Castafiore”. This square carried the name of the opera singer in the Tintin comic albums.
